Opportunity Overview:

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician to support the development, testing, and maintenance of test systems used in electronics manufacturing.

 

In this role, you will work closely with engineers to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of test equipment. Your responsibilities will include performing system-level testing, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting design improvements, and maintaining test equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in electronics, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with test and measurement systems.

 

  • Assist engineers in the design, assembly, and validation of test systems used in electronics manufacturing.
  • Perform system-level testing to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of test equipment with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with test systems, working closely with engineers to implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct calibration, maintenance, and repair of test equipment to ensure precise measurements and optimal performance.
  • Support the development and documentation of test procedures and methodologies to improve system efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results, system failures, and implemented corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to enhance test systems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Assist in programming and configuring test software (e.g., LabVIEW, Python) to automate testing processes.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices for handling electronic components and test equipment.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in electronic testing.

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience as an Engineering Technician or Test Technician in an electronics or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, test equipment, and measurement techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, and data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and system documentation.
  • Familiarity with test automation software (LabVIEW, Python) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of quality control, calibration processes, and industry testing standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with ESD precautions and best practices for handling sensitive electronics.
