Opportunity Overview

Reporting to the Head of Enterprsie Architecture and Data, as the Enterprise AI Architect, you are the key contributer shaping Teradyne’s AI landscape. You set and execute the enterprise AI strategy, promote the adoption and integration of AI and GenAI technologies, and ensure that AI is embedded in both business processes and technical platforms. You demonstrate the ability to zoom out for strategic vision and zoom in for hands-on solution delivery, collaborating across business and technical teams to maximize AI’s impact.

You proactively guide efforts to identify AI opportunities, pinpointing processes and areas that can benefit most from AI automation and innovation. You ensure AI is appropriately integrated into our enterprise systems, designing scalable, maintainable, and secure AI architectures that seamlessly fit with existing data infrastructures and enterprise platforms. You provide architecture and solution design guideance for the lifecycle of AI solutions, from data preparation to deployment. A crucial part of your role involves coordinating the prototyping of AI solutions, conducting small-scale tests to validate their impact and feasibility before wider deployment.

Beyond AI-specific projects, you leverage your expertise to evaluate general solution designs and align business capabilities with technical AI and broader technology solutions, helping develop a cloud-native, flexible, and agile future-state architecture. You are highly collaborative and foster a culture of innovation. You also oversee tool and technology selection, AI system security, governance, ethical concerns, and proactive monitoring of AI system performance, along with feedback mechanisms.

• AI Strategy:
  • Guide the formulation and evolution of Teradyne’s enterprise AI strategy, aligning with business and technology objectives to drive measurable value and market advantage
  • Identify, prioritize, and evangelize AI opportunities across the company, including automation, forecasting, supply chain, field service, finance, and more
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, integrating emerging AI technologies and best practices into Teradyne’s roadmap
  • Businss Outcome: Publish an actionable 12-18 month roadmap to deliver measurable results such as AI-driven revenue growth, AI ROI, time to value for AI projects, and/or strategic alignment score
• AI Architecture & Solution Design:
  • Architect, implement, and oversee scalable, secure, and maintainable AI solutions, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise platforms (SAP Successfactors, Oracle, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Siemens Teamcenter, etc.)
  • Advance proof-of-concept projects and pilots, working hands-on with teams to validate and scale GenAI and Agentic solutions
  • Faciliate the onboarding and adoption of 3rd party LLM tools such as Enterprise ChatGPT, Google Agentspace, Cursor, etc, integrating them securely and efficiently into the enterprise
  • Set architecture requirements and guide the design for AI-ready data pipelines using Snowflake, Informatica, and Microsoft Fabric, ensuring high-quality, governed, and accessible data
  • Architect and design for multi-cloud AI deployments across Azure, AWS, and GCP, leveraging cloud-native tools and best practices
  • Businss Outcome: Deployed AI solutions that seamlessly integrate with enterprise platforms, leadig to improved operational efficiency and innovation measured by deployment velocity, integration success rate, model performance, etc
• AI Governance & Responsible AI:
  • Collaborate with the CIO, CISO, Head of Engineering, and Chief AI Officer to facilitate a robust AI governance frameworks, policies, and best practices to ensure ethical, secure, and compliant AI development and deployment
  • Faciliate the AI-Risk Review Process for AI related project proposals to assess concerns related to data privacy, security, and algorithmic bias
  • Define and
  • Business Outcome: Enhance the enterprise AI governance framework to track KPIs such as risk score trends, security incident rate, explainabililty and transparency index, ethical review completion rate, etc.
• AI Operations:
  • Provide a framework to continuously monitor and optimize AI models and solutions for performance, accuracy, and business impact
  • Business Outcome: Consistent visibility to the performance and business impact of AI solutions through measures such as model drift dection rate, operational cost savings, incident response time, etc.
• Collaboration & Enablement:
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with data scientists, engineers, IT, business heads, and product teams to drive AI adoption and innovation  to align AI strategies and drive widespread adoption
  • Mentor teams, encourage continuous learning, and cultivate a culture of responsible AI and data-driven outcomes
  • Partner with the Enterprise Data Governance and Data Product teams to ensure delivery of high-quality, AI-ready dataThis includes close alignment with Enterprise
  • Business Outcome: Increase in enterprsie-wide adoption of AI tools and solutions measured by adoption rate, training and enablement completion rate, innovation index, etc.

All About You

• 10+ years in technology, with 5+ years delivering AI architecture solutions
• Expertise with Snowflake (data engineering, LLM accessibility, cross-cloud data sharing), Databricks, Microsoft AI technologies (Copilot, Fabric, Power BI, M365), and multi-cloud AI deployments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience with cloud AI tools (AWS, Azure, GCP) and scalable data platforms
• Minimum of 3 years of experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps
• Proven ability to onboard and guide the adoption of 3rd party LLM tools (Enterprise ChatGPT, Google Agentspace
• Strong knowledge of MLOps, DataOps, and/or enterprise data governance
• Excellent communication skills, able to influence executives and mentor technical teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Deep understanding of new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
• Deep understanding of product management, agile values, and development methodologies
• Ability to build trust and respect as a person who can influence and persuade business and IT department heads and development teams
• An analytic mindset that prioritizes enterprise-wide needs and remains unbiased toward any specific technology or vendor choice, with outcomes based on data and Proof-of-Concept (POC) results
