Opportunity Overview

Data Governance Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive enterprise data governance strategy, policies, and procedures, with an initial focus on the global ERP Program and the Enterprise Data Platform for analytics and AI solutions, and a roadmap for broader adoption to other critical platforms including but not limited to Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Siemens Teamcenter
  • Establish and oversee organization-wide data governance frameworks, standards, and accountability models to ensure data quality, compliance, and strategic value 
  • Serve as the executive advocate for data stewardship, promoting a culture of data ownership and shared responsibility across business and technology teams 

Business Outcome:
A robust, scalable data governance framework that ensures clean, trusted data flows in and out of core systems, supporting business objectives and regulatory requirements. 

Data Quality, Catalog, and Lineage Implementation

  • Define, implement, and monitor data quality standards, metrics, and processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness of data within the ERP and related systems
  • Oversee the deployment and adoption of data catalog, data lineage, and data glossary solutions, ensuring that data assets are discoverable, understandable, and traceable throughout their lifecycle 
  • Integrate data governance controls and best practices into business and technology workflows, leveraging Teradyne’s governance tooling

High-quality, well-documented, and lineage-traceable data assets that enable operational efficiency, analytics, and compliance.

Data Stewardship & Team Leadership

  • Oversee and mentor data owners, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities 
  • Facilitate cross-functional data stewardship forums and governance committees, driving alignment, decision-making, and continuous improvement 
  • Promote and manage data governance operations in major programs as they onboard to the enterprise data governance framework and operating model

A collaborative, empowered network of data stewards and owners actively engaged in maintaining and improving data quality and governance.

Compliance, Risk Management, and Policy Enforcement

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards, collaborating with legal, compliance, and security teams to manage data-related risks 
  • Create, maintain, and socialize data governance policies and procedures, ensuring they are practical, actionable, and aligned with business needs 
  • Oversee data classification, access controls, and audit processes to safeguard sensitive information and support regulatory audits 

Business Outcome:
Reduced data-related risk, improved regulatory compliance, and increased stakeholder confidence in data handling practices.

Data Literacy, Training, and Change Management

  • Lead data literacy initiatives and governance training programs to foster a culture of data stewardship and shared responsibility 
  • Educate and influence decision makers and stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating executive presence and the ability to drive cultural
  • Communicate the value and impact of data governance through regular reporting, dashboards, and executive presentations

Increased data literacy, higher adoption of governance practices, and measurable improvements in data quality and compliance.

Measurement, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for data governance adoption, data quality improvements, and business impact 
  • Conduct baseline assessments, maturity evaluations, and regular reviews to measure progress and identify areas for improvement 
  • Provide actionable reports and recommendations to executive leadership, ensuring alignment with Teradyne’s strategic data needs

  • Experience: 7+ years in data governance, data management, or business intelligence, with a proven track record of leading enterprise-wide governance initiatives; or equivalent operations and delivery experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field required
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of data governance tools and platforms (e.g., data catalog, lineage, quality monitoring) such as Informatica, Alation, Collibra
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) 
  • Leadership & Influence: Demonstrated executive presence, with the ability to educate, influence, and build consensus among senior leaders and cross-functional teams 
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience facilitating forums, leading committees, and presenting to executive audiences 
  • Project Management: Experience managing complex, enterprise-wide projects, with strong organizational and prioritization skills 
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to understand and align data governance initiatives with Teradyne’s strategic data needs and business objectives 

 

We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.

The base salary range for this role is $164,200 - $262,700. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
