Opportunity Overview:
Lead financial planning, analysis, and process automation for the Service business supporting a Production Support group and a Customer Support organization within SEMI. Provide business partnering and actionable insight to drive margin improvement, operational efficiency, and scalable financial controls across service delivery, spare parts, field engineering, and warranty programs.
- Financial Analysis and Planning
- Build and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts for Service revenue, cost of service, gross margin, and operating expenses.
- Create driver-based models for service labor, parts consumption, warranty accruals, field travel
- Perform scenario analysis to quantify financial impact of pricing changes, contract terms, field staffing plans, and new service offerings
- Business Partnering and Strategy
- Act as the primary finance business partner to Service leadership, Production Support managers, and Customer Support leaders to translate operational plans into financial outcomes
- Participate in monthly business reviews, operational cadence calls, and cross-functional steering committees to align priorities and resources
- Drive commercial decision support for pricing, service-level commitments, contract negotiation, and escalation cases
- Advise on cost-to-serve segmentation and recommend profitability improvements by customer, product family, region, and service type.
- Variance Analysis and Reporting
- Lead monthly close activities for the Service business, owning account reconciliations, accrual reviews, and P&L commentary
- Deliver concise variance explanations against budget, forecast, and prior year highlighting root causes, trends, and corrective actions
- Develop KPI dashboards and executive reports covering service margin, technician utilization, mean time to repair, parts fill rate, and warranty trends
- Ensure integrity of financial data feeding into enterprise reporting systems and audits
- Process Improvement and Automation
- Identify, design, and implement process automation opportunities across reporting, forecasting, and transactional finance workflows to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy
- Lead or partner with IT/ERP/BI teams to specify requirements, test solutions, and roll out automated reports, data pipelines, and self-service dashboards using tools such as Power BI
- Standardize templates, controls, and close checklists to shorten cycle time and strengthen SOX/compliance posture for Service finance processes
- Train finance and operations stakeholders on new tools, workflows, and best practices to drive adoption
- Cross-Functional Projects and Special Initiatives
- Support M&A diligence, product rationalization, and major cost reduction programs affecting service operations.
- Lead ad hoc financial deep-dives to support executive decisions, supply chain constraints, and strategic investments in field tooling or spare parts inventory.
- Manage and develop finance team members on full scope GCS P&L

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of corporate finance, FP&A, or financial planning experience supporting services, field operations, or product support organizations; semiconductor or high-tech experience strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to build driver-based financial models and perform root-cause variance analysis.
- Hands-on experience with financial systems and analytics tools such as Excel (advanced), Power BI, and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Proven track record delivering finance-driven process automation and dashboarding projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present complex finance issues to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $115,700 - $185,100. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
