Opportunity Overview

The Teradyne Field Applications team is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and driven Field Application Engineer who will work collaboratively with team members and independently to develop imaginative, practical, and comprehensive application solutions for semiconductor testing.

What You'll Do

• Develop, debug, and deploy test solutions for HPC, analog and mixed-signal semiconductor devices.
• Create and maintain test program software in a collaborative engineering environment.
• Review load board and probe card schematics and layouts for complete test solutions.
• Analyze technical problems and recommend solutions on Teradyne ATE platforms to optimize customer throughput.
• Partner with customer test engineering teams to understand and improve test processes.
• Recommend improvements to test coverage and product quality.
• Support production release of test solutions, including handler and prober integration, correlation studies, and Gauge R&R activities.
• Gather customer requirements and support conceptual hardware, software, and test cell integration designs.
• Provide PCB and interface hardware design inputs and requirements.
• Develop new techniques and methodologies for device characterization and production testing.
• Demonstrate tester capabilities during customer evaluations.
• Train and support customers on tester operation and system capabilities.
• Deliver technical presentations, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Build strong customer relationships to understand future technical requirements and business needs.
• Maintain awareness of ATE industry trends, competitive products, and market positioning.
• Support project planning, risk assessment, scheduling, and technical leadership activities.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of semiconductor test industry experience with hands-on IC test development expertise.
• Experience in analog, digital, mixed-signal, or RF test development on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) platforms.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor test methodologies and production deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Teradyne UltraFlex or UltraFlexPlus platforms.
• Programming experience in Visual Basic, C, C++, or C#.
• Strong Windows and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience with handler and prober interfaces.
• Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English and local language as applicable.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong customer relationships.
• Proven technical track record delivering high-quality test solutions.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within global teams.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is advantageous and may qualify the successful candidate for a more senior position.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% or more.

Compensation: 
The base salary range for this role is $155,000 to 248,100. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.  

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
