Opportunity Overview
The Cost Accounting Manager will be part of a team responsible for inventory and cost reporting for Teradyne’s Semi and System Test groups. The nature of this position and associated responsibilities offers a continuous working relationship in production and inventory control environment at many of Teradyne’s locations throughout the world. While accounting skills are a definite requirement for this role, the position offers the candidate an excellent opportunity to integrate those skills with insight and knowledge into Teradyne's manufacturing environment.

This is a pivotal role that requires someone with attention to detail and a desire to improve, automate processes including working in a fast-changing environment to ensure our accounting reflects the current business state.  You are trustworthy who applies good judgment as you manage your team of cost accounting professionals.

• Lead quarter-end close activities for the cost group and monitor cost group tasks
• Drive standardization of all cost accounting activities 
• Liaise with external and internal auditors on all inventory related requests 
• Train and develop global cost groups
• Support variances analysis and forecasting processes

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred
• 10+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment, including experience with multi-national / international organization(s)
• Ability to manage a team of cost accountants

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interact with other employees, customers, or suppliers/vendors, in a safe, professional, and respectful manner
• Experience in safeguarding access to business systems and software which contains sensitive and confidential company financial information 
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into useful information from enterprise systems (Oracle) and utilize data tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Access, UiPath, Power Query, etc.) for analysis, illustration and reporting
• Ability to travel on a minimal, as needed basis
