Organization & Role:
 
Teradyne has an immediate need for a Finance Manager to join the Operations Management Team at our corporate offices located in North Reading, MA.  The individual will be a committed member (Business Partner) of the Operations management team assisting with the preparation of the strategy and plans.  You will also integrate effectively within the overall Teradyne financial community and will manage a staff of two (one in US and one in China) dedicated financial analysts as well as other shared resources worldwide.  You will work with CFO and have exposure to upper management in the company.   This is a great way to learn the company and become intimate with our products.

Responsibilities:
 
    · Business analysis and decision support for Operations including: working with the Operations management team to manage a $60M annual budget and maintain the Operations model.
    · Oversee the financial implications of our outsourced manufacturing partners
    · Oversee the quarter end close process including Sarbanes Oxley compliance
    · Manage the Operations capital budget, including fixed asset recognition & reconciliation
    · Assist with Excess & Obsolescence reviews and recommendations
    · Support management in financial evaluations of in-sourcing/out-sourcing decisions
    · Present Operations spending and performance against the Ops Model to senior management at quarterly business reviews
    · Ad hoc requests, including supplier financial analysis, competitive financial analysis and ROI analysis on cost down initiatives
 
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
 
    · 6+ years accounting or related experience
    · Proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint
    · Strong analytical skills and ability to think freely
    · Strong communication and organization skills
    · Occasional travel as needed, including annual trip to Asia.  
 

Education:
 
    · Bachelors degree preferably in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA preferred.
