Opportunity Overview 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in Python to work on Generative AI projects. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in our team and will participate in varying projects, from chatbots to agentic systems to whatever comes next. 

  • Work on projects in the Generative AI space, contributing not just code, but ideas 

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to improve our product, our process, and our team 

  • Encourage good software engineering practices (unit testing, documentation, code reviews) in our projects 

  • Collaborate with team members in different time zones 

 

All About You 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field 

  • 5+ years of commercial software development experience 

  • Proficient in Python with experience programming for deployed systems 

  • At least one year of development experience in AI/ML with Generative AI experience preferred. Generative AI development experience can be for either personal or professional projects 

  • Experience using Generative AI tools, for example ChatGPT or GitHub Copilot 

  • Technical leadership ability.  Strong collaboration and teamwork skills but also able to work independently where appropriate. 

  • Able to clearly express your ideas and concepts both written and verbally, and to modify content effectively for individuals with different levels of technical expertise. 

  • Understanding of Generative AI technologies, such as 

    • LLMs 

    • Effects of different hyperparameters on LLM results 

    • Fine-tuning 

    • Prompt engineering 

    • Applications such as chatbots and agentic systems 

    • RAG and/or GraphRAG 

    • Quantitative evaluation of LLM-based systems (e.g., evaluating Chatbots via LLM-as-judge or Agentic systems for tool selection) 

  • Experience with good AI/ML practices such as model versioning, evaluation data and results management (e.g., metadata storage), regular system evaluations with evaluation result storage, etc. 

  • Familiarity with MCP 

  • Azure or other cloud experience 

  • Software development in a Windows environment
