Opportunity Overview
The General Manager of the Production Board Test Division reports to the president of the Product Test Group and will oversee the management and direction of the system business for testing PCB assemblies, ensuring that all operations align with Teradyne's strategic goals and objectives. This role involves leading a team of professionals, managing resources, and driving the development and implementation of innovative assembly testing solutions.

 

  • Drive strategic planning, execution, and organizational development for Teradyne’s Production Board Test business.
  • Manage the business unit P&L for profitable growth with predictable revenue and earnings contribution to the division.
  • Build, develop, inspire and lead the business unit’s management team and workforce, grow a succession pipeline for key positions, act as a role model for the Teradyne’s values and foster a culture of excellence, transparency, empowerment, teamwork and cohesion.
  • Formulate and refine an ambitious growth strategy, including the necessary investment plan leading to profitable organic growth and pursue acceleration through acquisitions and/or partnerships.
  • Driving actual market share gain and revenue growth organically through expansion and greater penetration of the customer base, pricing strategy, recurring revenue strategy.  Deliver a product roadmap to take advantage of evolving market opportunities.
  • Work with central operations group (which reports separately) to enhance   product quality, reduce costs, optimize inventories/lead times and maximize cash flow.
  • Work with other businesses within the division and across Teradyne to identify and exploit synergistic opportunities in channels or technology.
  • Personally represent the division and/or BUs and company to key customers, suppliers and business partners at executive levels. Build long term, trust-based relationships with key customer executives, industry influencers, and strategic suppliers to improve outcomes for Teradyne.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required; Master’s / MBA preferred
  • 10+ years in senior leadership roles within capital equipment or industrial technology sectors; experience in test equipment highly desired
  • Track record of successfully running a P&L preferred and different functional organizations such as marketing, sales, design engineering, or applications engineering
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue adjacent growth or building out nascent business opportunities
  • Ability to manage and develop a high-performing team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of time as needed

 

 

This is an onsite role in North Reading, MA. 

There is no international relocation available for this position.
