The Global Total Rewards Director will lead the Global Rewards team and contribute to the company's success by leading Teradyne’s global compensation (including executive compensation), incentives, benefits, and rewards for 6500+ employees. You will partner with the Executive Leadership Team, Senior Management Team, and Global HR team to develop, implement, manage, and communicate our global rewards strategy. You will provide valuable expertise and strategic guidance on all compensation and benefit related matters, lead all annual compensation programs, ensure consistent application and standards of compensation & benefits practice, support incentive plans, assess market competitiveness and best practices. In this impactful role, you will be an integral part of making Teradyne successful in our ability to attract, retain and motivate people. 



  • Lead the planning and timely execution of the existing compensation policies and practices.
  • Lead annual market assessment to recommend a competitive global budget to the Executive Leadership team for salary and equity compensation processes.
  • Conduct research, analyze information and data, and presents findings in a clear, concise manner tailored to different audiences.
  • Build a network of external sources to monitor existing compensation practices for trends and effectiveness and recommend design options for programs and policies as required.
  • Prepare the Compensation Committee packages for Board Members including executive compensation process and working with our outside compensation consultant.
  • Lead change management in support of evolving compensation strategies. 
  • Manage and lead a team of four direct reports and a couple of dotted line reports globally.
  • Consult and advise HR regarding total rewards governance interpretation, new hire offers, promotions, job evaluations, pay equity and other compensation initiatives.
  • Oversee administration for benefit plans (Medical, Dental, LTD, STD, AD&D, Life and all voluntary benefits).
  • HR Key stakeholder for all Mergers & Acquisitions.



  • 10+ years leading multiple facets of compensation and benefits in a multinational company.
  • Ability to work independently and influence executive level members.
  • Team player who can effectively interact with multiple working styles and work across all levels of the organization, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of critical design, process and schedule requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Global Surveys. Knowledge of Radford survey is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and high attention to detail with large data sets. Ability to draw trends from data and propose creative solutions.
  • Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills including the ability to effectively translate data to varying audiences.
  • Must handle sensitive, confidential matters and situations with maturity and discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent PC skills with advanced Excel skills desired.
  • Previous SAP Success Factors experience preferred.
