Opportunity Overview
The Teradyne’s Integrated Systems Test (IST) Hardware Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, technically driven Hardware Engineer to focus on the continuous development of our growing portfolio of hardware products and customers.
The successful candidate for this position will work with an exceptionally experienced engineering team located around the world to support the sophisticated electronic hardware used by our customers to test integrated circuits. This position will form the bridge between our current customers and the development engineering team to manage all aspects needed to maintain and advance our existing platforms. While the position is principally expected to work on electronic hardware, the engineer will gain experience with all aspects of modern complex systems in a collaborative environment. These aspects include hardware, software, manufacturing, field service/support, thermal management, mechanical engineering, manufacturing and repair, automation, and other engineering disciplines.
- Develop, implement, test, and deploy PCBAs used in our HDD and System Level Test products
- Develop scalable, high-performance, high-quality, extensible, and maintainable hardware
- Hands-on execution of product integration and verification testing and debug
- Define and perform prototyping and characterization experiments

- Experience and/or coursework in electrical engineering disciplines such as
- Circuit design and Modelling
- Prototyping
- Lab measurements
- Transmission Lines
- Experience with equipment used in a hardware development lab such as:
- Multi Meters
- Oscilloscope
- Power Supplies and Electronic Loads
- Analyzers
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Solid verbal and written skills
- Solid presentation skills
- Commitment to learning, excellence, efficiency, and product quality
Education
• BS in electrical engineering or related field from a university or engineering institution
• New college graduates considered, co-op or internships in a related field are a plus
