Opportunity Overview
The Test Development Engineering (TDE) Team at Teradyne's North Reading, MA headquarters is responsible for developing the test strategy, test equipment, test software, self-test software and procedures for new product introductions. We are currently seeking a Hardware Verification Engineer who will serve as a technical contributor in a test development group.
The Hardware Verification Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and/or improve test processes for Analog, Digital, and/or Optical test equipment including test strategy, interface design, test station design, test software, fixturing, software tools, documentation, and process control capabilities
- Integrate new processes into production

- Collaborate with and train test engineers and technicians to carry out Manufacturing Test Processes on Process Lab floor

- Serve as a technical resource for factory operations to assist in general troubleshooting and debug of hardware or test software
- Investigate and develop more efficient test processes utilizing metrics to indicate results. Go beyond individual defect investigation & characterization to understanding defect trends to influence testing directions.
- Support design teams in development stages of new and existing products
- Ensure that production test station hardware and software meet Cyber Security requirements
- Ensure calibration processes are Z540.1 and ISO 17025 compliant
Test Development plays a key role in the product development processes. A successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently, attention to detail, problem solving skills and the ability to communicate in teams. - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 2-5 years relevant experience
- Knowledge of C / C++/ C#, .NET framework
- Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and waveform generators
- Knowledge of basic circuit principles and the ability to trace a signal through a schematic
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are needed to succeed in this position
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, analytical and PC skills
- Must meet ITAR/FOUO requirements
- Must be available to commute to and work on site at our North Reading, MA facility

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $79,900- 127,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
