Opportunity Overview
The Teradyne In System Test Hardware team is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, technically driven Hardware Verification Intern to help develop our future System Level Testers. The successful candidate for this position will work with an exceptionally experienced design team developing cutting edge electronics used to test integrated circuits in test systems around the world.
While the position is principally an electronic hardware designer, the engineer will gain experience with all aspects of modern complex system development in a collaborative environment. These aspects include PCB hardware , FPGA, power, embedded software design; design for test and manufacturability; thermal management; mechanical engineering; requirements development and management; and other engineering disciplines.
- Assist in the design and development of design verification hardware and test application software.
- Debug and characterize prototype hardware and circuits.
- Support test preparation and execution, troubleshooting, and software debug.
- Perform data analysis and statistical evaluation of products.
- Present data, findings, and conclusions to a broad audience

- Current college student enrolled in a Bachelors degree program Majoring in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Must have completed a minimum of 2 years course work
- Understanding of analog and digital circuit fundamentals
- Ability to work with hardware tools such as Oscilloscopes, Voltage Meters, Power Supplies, Electronic Loads
- Basic software development and scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, C, C#, or C++) to support hardware design
- Soldering experience and understanding of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, and PCIe is a plus
- Motivated to learn, eager to challenge yourself, and deliver results
- Strong in troubleshooting, multitasking, communication, teamwork, and organization.
