Opportunity Overview
The Senior Project Manager exercises overall accountability and leadership for medium to large business and hybrid (business and technology) projects, ensuring the successful and timely implementation of solutions that meet or exceed business expectations. Under this role, the Senior Project Manager manages the relationship and communication with the project sponsor, senior management and a wide range of project stakeholders, including external vendors, helping them identify key barriers to project success while actively managing all risk mitigation activities, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality product, on-time and on-budget. This position reports to the IT PMO Manager.
- Drives consistent and efficient execution of projects by working closely with internal business partners and stakeholders to drive the adoption and implementation of company standards in processes and programs.
- Serves as liaison between technical and non-technical teams, both for the organization’s internal departments as well as vendor/subcontractor organizations, to ensure that the project requirements, deliverables and milestones are clearly specified and met throughout the project.
- Coordinates activities and tasks among project team members, other internal departments and vendor/subcontractor organizations as needed to meet project goals, ensuring that their completion is on schedule, within budget constraints, and of the appropriate quality standards expected by the organization.
- Ensures that the project is delivered according to the measures of success defined by business owner.
- Develops the project schedule to complete deliverables, determine critical paths, identify risks, and appropriate mitigation plans.
- Drafts and manages project budgets, including monitoring costs, payment to vendors, and preparation of financial status reports; provides reporting progress to ensure projects are within budget, and anticipates and monitors for issues communicating promptly with the IT PMO leadership and project sponsors.
- Determines corrective action for risks and obstacles with assistance from senior resources and department leads.
- Works in collaboration with the project team to seek input and validation from key project stakeholders on business and technical requirements to ensure scope, deliverables and timelines for execution are well understood, clearly documented and actionable.
- Creates clear and concise communication mechanisms to share and secure understanding of project plans, project status and issues with all stakeholders (including executive management and project team), in the frequency and level of detail stated by the project governance process.
- Understands and communicates roles and responsibilities (and expectations) with subject matter experts (SMEs) and key business and technical leads, continuously managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle and escalating to the appropriate parties when needed.
- Monitors and controls inputs and documentation required for each project stage/gate checkpoint, including but not limited to project charter, project (business, technical) requirements documents, project metrics, project schedule, risk management plans, resource plan, budgets, transition to production documents, etc.
- Manages process compliance and provides input to incremental process improvements with the use of lessons learned and other project process tools.

- 7+ years demonstrated competency and hands-on experience in project management from inception to delivery, including all elements of scope, schedule, budget, risk evaluation, issue resolution, quality, integration, staffing, and communications.
- Advanced SDLC lifecycle experience across waterfall, Agile and hybrid methodologies.
- Advanced analytical capabilities (data analysis and problem solving) as well as presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel).
- Solid understanding of IT architecture, systems integration, and enterprise design.
- Familiarity with continuous process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- BS/BA degree in Business or Technology-related field required.
- Project Management certification or equivalent (required).
- Agile project management certification or equivalent (desired).
- Sound, strategic thinker with a track record of demonstrating good judgement, strong business acumen, and executing plans with a sense of urgency.
- Capable of building constructive relationships to foster collaboration and cross-functional thinking.
- Ability to organize and prioritize coordination of multiple jobs/assignments.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships to gain trust and respect
Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $140,500 - $224,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
