Opportunity Overview

At Teradyne, we're committed to innovation through collective expertise. We are seeking a highly motivated COOP/intern to develop and train an AI agent on Teradyne’s Design for Reliability (DFR) guidelines, and principles. The role involves ingesting the DFR guidelines into the large language model, followed by working with senior reliability engineers to train and validate the model. This will involve large-scale generating question-and-answer pairs to ensure the agent accurately interprets the guidelines. The goal is to create a reliable, interactive assistant capable of providing real-time guidance to engineers based on Teradyne’s DFR principles. This role offers hands-on experience in AI training, technical documentation, and reliability engineering, making it ideal for candidates passionate about machine learning and hardware design standards.

  • Data Ingestion & Structuring: Ingest and structure Teradyne's DfR guidelines and internal documentation into the AI agent's knowledge base, focusing on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) principles.
  • Agent Development: Design, build, and deploy a functional prototype of the AI agent using appropriate Large Language Model (LLM) frameworks (e.g., Llama, GPT and LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.).
  • Training and verification: Collaborate with senior engineers to validate and rigorously test the agent's accuracy. Refine AI responses to ensure alignment with Teradyne’s DFR principles and improve guidance accuracy.
