Opportunity Overview
The 6-month NPI Manufacturing Engineering Coop will work with multiple manufacturing engineers, pilot line teams and other groups to help move our new products from the early prototype stage, into pilot line production and then final transfer to our contract manufacturer. 
- Participate in the assembly of various Electro-Mechanical Products to develop the assembly process flow, help identify and resolve design issues and enable early pilot production.
 - Assist in the development and validation of assembly tools and fixtures.
 - Create, document and validate assembly processes for various types of Electro-Mechanical Assemblies.
 - Assist in the evaluation of product assembly issues and collaborating with other groups to identify the root cause and help implement corrective action.
 - Assist in the completion of other department projects as required.

- Rising junior currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field in mechanical engineering
 - A strong mechanical aptitude with an eagerness to comprehend how things go together and a willingness to offer ideas for improving the overall product design.
 - Experience with basic hand tools and the ability to interpret product design requirements from control drawings.
 - Ability to create parts and assemblies in SolidWorks is a plus.
 - Ability to work in a high energy and highly variable new product/engineering environment
 - Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
 
This is an onsite position located in our North Reading, MA facility. We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Compensation:
The base hourly range for this role is $25.50-$47.00. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
