Opportunity Overview
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer Co-op for June - December 2026 to work closely with the Mechanical Engineering Group, which is responsible for developing our Semiconductor Test Systems. As a member of the Mechanical Engineering Group, the Mechanical Engineer Co-op will have their hands in many ongoing projects and day-to-day tasks.
Our preference is for a full-time co-op that can stay from June through December 2026.
As a Mechanical Engineering Co-op, the candidate will apply their knowledge of Mechanical Engineering towards:
- Assisting in assembly and validation of Engineering prototypes
- Executing lifecycle testing on equipment in the lab
- Use SolidWorks to create parts, assemblies, drawings, and FEA simulations
- Participate in team meetings, and present quantitative and qualitative findings in an organized and professional manner
- Managing and maintaining Mechanical Engineering lab space
- The role is based out of our office in North Reading, MA and requires on-site presence.
- We are not able to provide relocation assistance.
- The co-op duration is 6 months

- Must be at least in your second year of school (ideally third or fourth year), working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering
- Demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks part creation, drawings, and large assemblies
- Knowledge of drafting and design standards (ANSI Y14.5 GD & T)
- Understanding of design for assembly and manufacturing (DFA and DFM principles)
- Knowledge of measurement systems and techniques
- Strong ability to communicate
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new information
- Ability to manage their time
- Positive attitude
- Enjoys hands on approach toward engineering
We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.

Compensation:
The base hourly range for this role is $25.50-$47.00. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
