Opportunity Overview
As an NPI Manufacturing Engineer, you will help bring new electro-mechanical products to life by partnering with cross-functional teams to move designs from concept through successful volume manufacturing. You will apply established manufacturing engineering practices to develop assembly processes, support product builds, create manufacturing documentation, design assembly tooling, and investigate product and process issues.
In this role, you will:

- Work with the NPI team to develop and execute manufacturing plans that support the timely transfer of new products to volume manufacturing.
- Build and evaluate electro-mechanical assemblies to develop assembly process flows, identify manufacturing risks, and recommend process or design improvements.
- Develop and maintain detailed assembly instructions and process documentation for pilot production teams and contract manufacturing partners.
- Review solid models, engineering drawings, bills of material, and other design information to establish assembly methods and process requirements.
- Identify the need for assembly tools and fixtures, then design, document, and qualify solutions using established engineering practices.
- Investigate product assembly and manufacturing issues by gathering data, completing structured root-cause analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on corrective actions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to design and validate packaging solutions.
- Provide technical support during pilot builds and manufacturing transfer activities.
- Train pilot production and contract manufacturing personnel on assembly processes and manufacturing requirements.
- Prepare engineering reports, analyses, and recommendations for review by the project team.
- Contribute to additional NPI and manufacturing engineering projects based on program and business needs.
