In this role you will be a member of an interdisciplinary systems engineering team responsible for the development of new integrated ATE systems.  

  • Interface with Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams to generate concepts & proposals. 
  • Develop requirements for ATE systems and sub-systems 
  • Select VXI/PXI/LXI test instrumentation & other hardware based on requirements/specifications 
  • Estimate effort and cost of prospective solutions to customer opportunities 
  • Design and develop programs and procedures for customer demonstrations 
  • Interface with SW Engineering, HW Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Customer to troubleshoot and resolve complex customer problems 
  • Develop, debug, and maintain large-scale software in a Microsoft Windows environment 
  • Develop, debug, and maintain large-scale PLC implementations on automated test equipment 
  • Manage outsourced PLC development teams 
  • Travel to customer locations required up to 10% of time

  • Degree in Electrical/Electromechanical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience 
  • 8+ years’ experience in Electrical/Electromechanical/Computer Engineering 
  • Understanding of ATE instrumentation 
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills 
  • Ability to test with instrumentation like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators 
  • Software experience programming in the following languages: MS Visual C/C++/C# 
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams 
  • Ability to manage both small and large projects 
  • Must be Proficient with Siemens PLC programming, TIA Portal, Step 7 (Allen Bradley or Beckhoff PLC exp considered)
  • Must have experience managing outsourced PLC development teams 
  • Proficient with MS-Office and related applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation: 
The base salary range for this role is $155,000-$248,100. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.  

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
