Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead cross-functional engineering efforts for one of the Division’s products through 12–18 month release cycles. In this role, you will drive the delivery of updated hardware, software, and documentation in support of system upgrades and product obsolescence, while also overseeing Configuration / Obsolescence Management and Government Property Administration. Reporting to the Senior Systems Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining configuration-controlled systems and assets, monitoring lifecycle status, and partnering across Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and suppliers to ensure successful execution.

 

  • Lead cross-functional project execution across Engineering, Marketing, QA, and Operations to support product delivery and lifecycle management.
  • Develop and maintain product delivery schedules in partnership with Marketing, Systems Engineering, and Engineering Project Managers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, align priorities, and improve project management best practices across the team.
  • Build and maintain databases of shipped systems, assets, and configuration-controlled hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Monitor Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and supplier lifecycle status to assess product obsolescence risk and recommend next steps.
  • Support Configuration Management and DMSMS planning by maintaining documentation, analyzing compatibility, and ensuring adherence to established CM practices.
  • Partner with Program Managers and Operations to manage Government Furnished Property in compliance with FAR 52.245-1 and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, audit readiness, and system transactions related to Government-owned property and inventory.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Configuration Management practices and procedures, including documentation control, engineering change processes, database management, and hardware/software revision tracking.
  • Working knowledge of MIL-HDBK-61A and EIA-649-1.
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to coordinate cross-functional activities and drive execution across multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical information and follow through on issues with multiple dependencies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Project Management, Marketing, Systems Engineering, Operations, and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $140,500-$224,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

 

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
