Opportunity Overview:

We are seeking a Prototype Assembler – Sub-Assembly Integration Specialist responsible for mechanical and electro-mechanical integration at the prototype and pre-production phases.

 

In this role, you will:

• Execute mechanical assembly and integration following engineering blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions

• Perform precision alignment and calibration of mechanical components and optical systems

• Conduct in-process mechanical and electrical inspections to ensure compliance with assembly procedures

• Maintain detailed and accurate build records, change documentation, and traceability requirements

• Collaborate with engineering, process, and quality teams for prototype development and process optimization

• Interface with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineering

• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical assembly and system integration

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience assembling complex electro-mechanical systems

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications

• Experience with precision measurement tools

• Knowledge of mechanical fasteners, torque specifications, and assembly best practices

• IPC-A-610 knowledge preferred

• Experience with cable routing and securing within system enclosures

• Ability to work with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical system integration

• Strong troubleshooting skills

• Excellent manual dexterity and spatial reasoning

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles

 

** We are only considering candidates local to the position location; relocation is not available.

 

Compensation: 

The base salary range for this role is $47,500 - $76,000. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.  

 

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
