Opportunity Overview
Teradyne is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Coop to join our Production Test team. This role offers hands-on experience in the assembly and testing of sub-assemblies and instruments, as well as first article and final inspections. The Coop will also lead a project aimed at improving a segment of the manufacturing process using Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt methodologies.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of sub-assemblies and instruments.
- Conduct functional and system-level testing of instruments and systems.
- Execute first article inspections and final inspections to ensure quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Lead a Yellow Belt project focused on enhancing a specific aspect of the manufacturing workflow.
- Document findings, propose solutions, and present results to stakeholders.

- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, preferably in the final two years of study.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with basic hand tools and test equipment.
- Understanding of inspection techniques and quality control standards.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
