Opportunity Overview 

Senior Director of Global Manufacturing Operations

Location: Onsite in North Reading, MA (Teradyne Headquarters)


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management of on-time delivery, quality, and capacity of our EMS partners and internal factories
  • Develop, monitor, and track ongoing EMS supplier/internal factories performance data / KPIs through SMT, electro-mechanical build, final assembly and test to shipment of product
  • Work with our internal sales administration office to meet/exceed our customer expectations for delivery and quality
  • Ensure critical escalations which impact delivery, quality, and capacity of our EMS partners and internal manufacturing are resolved in a timely manner
  • Work with our New Product Introduction teams to ensure products are released to high volume production which meet our standards/criteria for high volume production
  • Develop and track savings projects and partner with Procurement category managers to lead the implementation of saving initiatives.
  • Ensure product safety and quality improvements from co-manufacturers.
  • Improve customer service performance of co-manufacturers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in a Supply Chain discipline.
  • 15+ years of managing EMS providers or direct management of manufacturing
  • 15+ years of broad-based Supply Chain responsibilities.
  • Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing experience/certifications.  Green belt/black belt a plus
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Travel Requirements:

 

  • Up to 10% travel expected.

 

Compensation: 
The base salary range for this role is $245,500-$392,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.  

 Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
