Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hardware Engineer to join our engineering team.  In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting printed circuit boards and associated electronics used in In-Circuit Board Tester (ICT) systems, with an emphasis on high-precision analog signal measurement and control.  Tasks may include new instrument design, design maintenance for obsolescence, cost reduction, and root cause investigation and resolution.  You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including software and mechanical engineering to create reliable and high-performance test platforms.

  • Design and develop multi-layer PCB layouts for In-Circuit Test systems, including analog and digital circuits.
  • Create schematics for precision analog front-ends, signal conditioning, and control circuitry.
  • Select components optimized for low-noise, low-drift, and high-accuracy analog performance.
  • Interface with manufacturing and test engineers to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT).
  • Perform board bring-up, debugging, and validation with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and precision measurement tools.
  • Document design specifications, test plans, and analysis results.
  • Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to ensure seamless integration and performance.

 

 

All About You

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in PCB design and hardware development, preferably in test or measurement systems.
  • Experience with analog circuit design over the operating range of DC to 100Mhz.
  • Digital and high-speed transmission line design experience.
  • Proficiency with Cadence PCB design tool software
  • Experience with layout techniques for minimizing noise and crosstalk in analog and mixed-signal designs.
  • Knowledge of calibration techniques and error budgeting in precision measurement systems.
  • Strong electrical debug skills and advanced trouble shooting techniques.
  • Strong lab skills with hands on experience operating oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, signal generators etc.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills 
  • Highly motivated team player and independent learner who can excel in a dynamic environment with strong personal discipline and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Experience with SoC FPGAs, microcontrollers, and processors for embedded systems.
  • Hardware oriented systems engineering experience – establishing requirements for project/products and developing those into considered architectural proposals
  • Experience working with In-Circuit Test (ICT) or Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems.
