Opportunity Overview
The Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer III will serve as a technical lead within Teradyne’s IT Infrastructure & Operations team, supporting a hybrid CMMC Level 2 enclave environment. This role is responsible for the architecture, engineering, operations, and compliance of secure infrastructure spanning on-premises Windows and Linux servers, Palo Alto Networks firewall infrastructure, Microsoft Azure Government resources, and the Microsoft 365 GCC High collaboration tenant.
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of infrastructure solutions across the hybrid CMMC L2 enclave, ensuring alignment with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC L2, and organizational security policies.
- Develop and administer secure Windows Server, Linux, Azure Government, and Microsoft 365 GCC High environments, including Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune, governance, and security posture.
- Own and operate Palo Alto Networks firewall infrastructure, including Panorama, advanced security profiles, vulnerability management, remediation tracking, and CUI data flow boundaries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams as the primary technical SME for CMMC Level 2 compliance, incident response, post-incident reviews, roadmap planning, budgeting, and vendor engagement.
- Build automation and operational improvements using tools such as PowerShell, Python, Terraform, or Ansible to strengthen security, reliability, and compliance outcomes.
- Mentor Level 2 engineers, conduct peer reviews, evaluate new technologies, and support continuous improvement across the enclave environment.

- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on IT infrastructure engineering experience supporting secure, hybrid enterprise environments.
- Expert-level Windows Server administration and advanced Linux administration experience.
- Advanced experience with Palo Alto Networks NGFW and Panorama.
- Advanced Azure or Azure Government experience, with deep proficiency in Microsoft 365 GCC High.
- Experience with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC Level 2 compliance, CUI data boundaries, and related security control implementation.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across IT, security, compliance, and business stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance, peer reviews, and operational support.
- CompTIA Security+ certification required.
- Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification required.
- Preferred experience with CMMC assessments or C3PAO engagements, SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, FedRAMP requirements, vulnerability management platforms, DISA STIG or CIS Benchmarks, EDR platforms, hybrid identity architectures, defense contract documentation, and ITSM platforms.
We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $92,800-$148,400. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
