Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer I to join our Product Security team. In this role, you will help design, implement, and maintain security capabilities across software products and development platforms. Working closely with software engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, and security stakeholders, you will contribute to integrating security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in software engineering, an interest in cybersecurity, and hands-on experience with DevOps tools and automation. This role provides an opportunity to build secure development processes, improve product security posture, and support cloud-native and on-premises environments.
Responsibilities
· Support the implementation of product security requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
· Develop and maintain web applications and dashboards using React and Redux with Microsoft SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL databases for data storage, reporting, and analytics.
· Assist with vulnerability identification, remediation tracking, and security validation activities.
· Partner with development teams to integrate secure coding practices and security controls.
· Support application security testing, including static and dynamic analysis tools.
· Help maintain and enhance DevSecOps processes, tooling, and automation frameworks.
· Contribute to security monitoring, incident response readiness, and remediation efforts.
· Participate in threat modeling, penetration tests, risk assessments, and security reviews of software products.
· Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operating procedures.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall product security and operational excellence.
· Develop and maintain security automation within CI/CD pipelines.

Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
· 0–2 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
· Certifications in Cybersecurity, DevOps and/or Cloud solutions and services
· Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript & SQL.
· Understanding secure software development principles and common application security risks.
· Familiarity using AI to platforms and automation practices with libraries like React, Redux or Fast API on PostgreSQL or MSSQL databases.
· Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating environments.
· Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, or Docker and automation practices.
· Familiarity with container technologies and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
· Exposure to application security tools including SAST, DAST, software composition analysis, or secrets scanning.
· Understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, and identity management concepts.
· Experience participating in capture-the-flag events, security research, ethical hacking activities, or penetration testing projects.
· Exposure to secure code reviews, vulnerability scanning, or security assessment tools.
· Security, DevOps and Cloud management certifications, coursework, or training are a plus.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $73,100-$117,000. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
