OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

 

The Sr. Commodity Manager – Indirect Categories plays a critical role in Teradyne’s global procurement organization, supporting enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives including ERP deployment and next-generation digital procurement capabilities. This individual contributor role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver value through strategic sourcing, supplier management, and data-driven decision-making across indirect spend categories.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple indirect categories aligned with global procurement strategy and business transformation goals.

• Develop and execute end-to-end sourcing strategies leveraging data analytics, AI-enabled tools, and supplier benchmarking.

• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, IT, HR, and business leaders to ensure contract compliance and ERP integration.

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including performance management and continuous improvement.

• Support enterprise transformation efforts through cross-functional project coordination.

• Partner with stakeholders to negotiate and draft contracts, statements of work, and change orders.

• Mentor stakeholders by sharing sourcing and analytics best practices.

• Ensure ongoing monitoring and reporting of sourcing outcomes, savings, and supplier risks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred

• 8+ years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with indirect category focus

• Experience supporting ERP or large-scale business transformation initiatives

• Strong strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management experience

• Advanced analytical and digital procurement tool proficiency

• Familiarity with AI-enabled sourcing technologies

• Strong written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment

• Demonstrated leadership potential

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $112,700–$180,400. This is a good faith estimate; actual base salary will correspond with experience and skill set.

Incentive Plan: Eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
