Opportunity Overview 
The Teradyne Compute Test Division Engineering team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, technically driven System Integration and HAL Design Engineer to focus on the development of Hardware Abstraction Language(HAL) SW and to participate in system integration and debug efforts. Development occurs in a dynamic and challenging multi-site development environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with hardware and software subject matter experts to make complex hardware and software come together into a working system. 

• Architecture, design, implementation, verification, and lab validation of HALs for automated test equipment 

• Work with Hardware, Software and Systems engineering to define scalable, high-performance, high-quality, extensible, and maintainable HAL code. 

• Hands-on execution of product integration and verification testing and debug. 

• Work closely with the Logic Design verification team to abstract the software interface from the low-level hardware details from higher level SW to enable greater SW reuse.

• Software coding using C and C++. 

• System integration in both Linux and Windows environments. 

• Languages: Expertise in C, C++ coding and in a scripting language (Python, TCL, PERL…) required. Familiarity with Verilog, System Verilog, UVM, VHDL is a plus. 

• Operating Systems: Windows, Linux 

• Development Tools: Microsoft Visual Studio, GIT, Clearcase/Version Vault, JIRA 

• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills. 

• Solid verbal, written and presentation skills. 

• Experience working in cross-functional teams designing complex systems 

• Commitment to excellence, efficiency, and product quality 

• BS required in electrical engineering, computer engineering computer science or related technical field from a top university or engineering institution. 

• Minimum of 3-5 years of practical development experience.
