Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Test Engineering Manager to lead our test engineering team in developing and executing robust testing strategies for Teradyne’s semiconductor test products at our high-volume manufacturers. This role is critical to ensuring product quality, reliability, and performance across all stages of development and production.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of test engineers focused on data-oriented hardware validation, system-level testing, and production test development.
- Drive a culture of ownership, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage resource allocation and project prioritization.
Test Strategy & Execution
- Evaluate and update\improve comprehensive test plans and strategies.
- Oversee the design and development of automated and manual test systems and associated test processes for UltraFlex+, UltraFlex, ETS product lines.
- Verify that the released high-volume test process flow ensures product functionality, performance, and reliability at minimum cost through ICT, MTF, Lyger/Gator, OTC, and FTC testbeds.
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including procedures, reports, and traceability matrices.
- Analyze and propose DOEs on test data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support failure analysis and corrective actions in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with design, operations, contract manufacturing sites, NPI, and quality teams to continually optimize test processes and results.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to align testing with product goals.
- Drive first-line failure analysis and root cause investigations.
- Interface with contract manufacturers to support test development and troubleshooting.
- Improve test processes.
- Drive PDCA on production gaps to improve test coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Define, report and monitor key metrics related to test performance and product quality.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure testing processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain documentation for audits and certifications.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in test engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of hardware and software testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of factory software release cycle and configuration control is a plus.
- Experience with automated test systems, scripting languages, and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of statical process controls and data analysis tools and techniques is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
- Willingness to travel 30% of the time
- Experience with SW for data analysis, test process control tools, Lean/Six-sigma methodologies are a plus.
- Manufacturing data analysis experience would be a plus
- Knowledge of DOE and structured problem solving is required. Experience using process monitoring tools, run charts, yield charts, pareto charts, Cp, Cpk, Cm, Cmk, etc. is a plus.
