Opportunity Overview
As the Facilities Manager based in Odense, Denmark, you will oversee the management and continuous improvement of office and industrial/manufacturing robotics and semiconductor test environments across multiple European locations. You will be responsible for managing a team that includes in-house facilities staff and external service providers. You will serve as the key liaison between regional leadership, workplace services, and global facilities teams to ensure high performance, safety, and efficiency within our critical infrastructure.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily facilities operations at the Odense site, which may include office, robotics labs, and manufacturing areas.
  • Provide regional oversight and support for additional European facilities, ensuring consistency with global standards and compliance with local codes
  • Ensure compliance with local building, health & safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., CE, REACH, RoHS).
  • Partner with engineering, operations, IT, and EH&S teams to ensure proper support for production and R&D environments (HVAC, clean rooms, compressed air, electrical loads, etc.).
  • Lead capital improvement, renovation, and fit-out projects across sites, from budgeting and planning to execution and vendor coordination.
  • Administer preventative maintenance programs for building systems, utilities, and safety equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement in space utilization, sustainability, and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Support physical security, access control systems, emergency procedures, and incident response planning.
  • Manage vendor contracts and performance (cleaning, security, HVAC, fire systems, etc.).
  • Track and report KPIs, facility costs, and compliance metrics to regional and global stakeholders.
  • Travel up to 15% to support project execution and audits across European sites.

  • Proven expertise in managing facilities within a high-tech, electronics, robotics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire safety, etc.), especially in production or lab settings.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to lead multiple complex projects and support geographically dispersed teams.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, EU environmental and safety regulations, and cleanroom protocols is a plus.
  • Skilled in facilities management software (IWMS and/or CAFM), Microsoft 365 suite, and digital collaboration tools.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD (or similar) design tools

 

Education and Experience Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Facilities Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of facilities management experience in a manufacturing, R&D, or high-tech office environment.
  • Experience supporting both office and technical space across international locations.
  • Demonstrated success in vendor and project management.
  • Fluent in English and Danish; other European languages are highly desirable.
