Opportunity Overview
Teradyne IT BMO (Business Management Office) is looking for an experienced Software QA Engineer to join our QA team. In this role, you will design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests for web applications and APIs, playing a key part in streamlining our testing activities. You will bring a strong technical background, excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities, and strong communication skills to drive quality throughout the development lifecycle.

• Define testing strategies for product verification and validation; create and maintain test plans
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications and APIs
• Participate in internal and cross-functional reviews of requirements and design specifications
• Review, analyze, and summarize test results; log anomalies in the defect tracking system, communicate status to stakeholders, and recommend solutions to identified issues
• Enforce quality standards throughout the development lifecycle and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and practices
• Support and mentor other members of the QA team

• Minimum education or equivalent experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
• Primary experience needed for role: 4+ years of experience testing complex software systems
• Minimum skills/requirements: Strong knowledge of QA processes, testing methodologies, and documentation standards; hands-on experience with manual and automated testing; experience with API testing tools such as Postman; practical knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or NeoLoad; and familiarity with Jira, Zephyr, qTest or other test/bug management systems
• Preferred experience/skills needed for role: Understanding of Jenkins or a similar CI/automation server; experience with database testing and SQL; working knowledge of a programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Java, Python) and automation testing tools (e.g., Tosca, Playwright, TestNG, Selenium)
• Soft skills/behavioral traits: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and cross-team collaboration; strong time management and organizational skills with a clear focus on meeting deadlines
