Opportunity Overview
Teradyne is seeking a Field Product Specialist (SOC) to build trusted customer relationships through technical credibility and connect customer challenges with Teradyne solutions that drive growth. In this customer-facing technical presales role, you will partner with Sales, Marketing, Applications, and Engineering to shape proposals, influence product direction, and help customers succeed.
In this role, you will work on leading-edge Cloud, AI, and Compute test challenges with customers who are pushing technical boundaries. You will have a meaningful voice in customer strategy and solution development, partnering across internal teams to deliver technical value and influence product direction.

Build trusted technical relationships with customer engineering teams and serve as a credible technical advisor.

Lead customer discussions around advanced SOC test challenges and emerging Cloud, AI, and Compute applications.

Develop strategies that connect customer needs with Teradyne solutions and support business growth.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Applications, Engineering, and factory teams to design and deliver customer solutions.

Partner with customers and internal teams to shape proposals, positioning, and product direction.

Translate customer needs and market feedback into input for product positioning, solution strategy, and engineering roadmaps.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Typically requires 5–8+ years of experience in SOC validation/test, such as test development, DFT, or test-enablement tools.

Experience with leading-edge SOC ATE platforms, including Teradyne and/or Advantest systems.

Hands-on ATE test experience on UltraFLEXplus and/or UltraFLEX.

Technical knowledge of silicon technology fundamentals, DFT, test program generation and debug, digital plus DC/power test techniques, manufacturing test, and advanced packaging technologies.

C#/.NET experience is helpful but not required.

Customer-first mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across customer and internal teams.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Growth mindset and interest in customer-facing technical presales work.

Competitive benchmarking experience is a plus.
Customer engagement is centered in San Jose, CA; Bay Area candidates are preferred. Approximate travel is 2 weeks per quarter to Asia and within the U.S.
We are only considering candidates local to the position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $170,500 - $272,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
