Opportunity Overview
As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will take a lead role in production test, hardware debug, manufacturing test development, yield and quality improvement, and cross-functional execution for new product introduction (NPI) and ongoing manufacturing operations. This position is intended for an experienced engineer who can independently drive complex technical issues to resolution, influence test strategy, and serve as a key technical partner to Design, Software Engineering, Operations, Quality, suppliers, and Contract Manufacturers (CMs).

You will specialize in test engineering for complex electronic hardware, with responsibility for developing and improving scalable manufacturing test solutions, leading hardware debug and failure analysis efforts, and driving production readiness for new and existing products. This role requires strong technical judgment, the ability to mentor or guide less experienced engineers, and the capability to communicate recommendations, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to technical and business stakeholders.

  • Production Test & Hardware Debug - Lead testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits down to the component level. Independently review and interpret engineering documentation, including schematics, drawings, layouts, and test procedures. Use electrical test instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, logic analyzers, and automated test equipment to diagnose complex issues. Provide data-driven recommendations to engineering and operations teams and drive corrective actions through closure.
  • Manufacturing Test Development - Define, develop, and improve test strategies for new and sustaining products. Lead implementation and optimization of test processes at Contract Manufacturers. Provide Design-for-Test (DFT) recommendations during product development and design reviews. Develop, validate, and maintain test station procedures, documentation, preventive maintenance schedules, and escalation paths.
  • Yield, Quality, and Process Improvement - Analyze test yields, failure trends, and production data to identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities. Prepare pareto charts, yield trends, technical summaries, and recommendations for cross-functional review. Partner with Quality, suppliers, manufacturing teams, and CMs to improve test coverage, reduce defects, improve throughput, and support long-term product reliability.
  • Technical Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration - Serve as a senior technical resource for internal design teams, manufacturing partners, suppliers, and test technicians. Lead or support complex NPI readiness activities, production ramp efforts, and issue resolution across multiple stakeholders. Provide training, guidance, and technical support for manufacturing test stations and junior team members. Communicate issues, risks, priorities, and progress clearly to engineering, operations, and management.

All About You
We seek experienced engineers who share our passion for innovation, quality, and customer success. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to lead complex hardware and manufacturing test challenges with limited direction. • B.S. in Engineering required; Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in test engineering, hardware engineering, manufacturing engineering, or manufacturing support for electronic products
  • Advanced experience with PCB-level debug, mixed-signal electronics, embedded hardware, and component-level troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing test processes for complex electronic products
  • Proficiency with PC-based test systems, automated test equipment, and electrical instrumentation
  • Experience analyzing production data, test yields, failure trends, and quality metrics to drive corrective actions and process improvements
  • Ability to provide Design-for-Test input and influence product readiness during NPI
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues, risks, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, lead technical initiatives, and collaborate effectively in team-based environments
  • Flexible and adaptive across changing priorities, production needs, and project timelines
