Opportunity Overview
The IT Technical Support role is responsible for providing comprehensive technical assistance to internal users, maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability and security of our technology environment. This position is based at our North Reading, MA corporate office and reports to the IT Manager or Director.
User Support & Troubleshooting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support requests, resolving hardware, software, and network issues for employees via phone, email, chat, or in-person.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems, escalating complex issues to higher-level support teams as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to users on A/V systems (e.g., Microsoft Teams Rooms, conference room technology) and productivity tools.
System Configuration & Maintenance
- Configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, including operating system and software installations.
- Support IT infrastructure projects, including server configuration, deployment, and monitoring network performance.
- Ensure IT assets are accurately tracked and documented; maintain up-to-date records in asset management systems.
Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with other departments, staff, and vendors to resolve issues and implement IT solutions that align with business objectives.
- Interface with corporate IT groups and key customers to improve the user experience and workplace collaboration tools.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with emerging workplace technologies by testing and evaluating new desktop and mobile products.
- Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and knowledge base articles to enhance support efficiency.
All About You
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 1–4 years of direct experience in IT support, including hands-on work with Windows 10/11, Apple operating systems, and Azure/InTune administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to independently resolve user hardware/software issues.
- Solid understanding of fundamental networking principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; customer service oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Creative, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies quickly.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar are highly valued.
- Experience with remote desktop applications and IT service management tools.
- Familiarity with security best practices and ITIL processes is a plus.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $53,000 - $84,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
