Opportunity Overview

NPI Operations Project Manager

 
Nextest, a Division of Teradyne is looking for a highly motivated and talented New Product Operations Project Manager who share our passion and drive to join our team based in San Jose, California. We are a small, close-knit team working in an exciting, fast-paced, focused atmosphere.

• Responsible for successfully delivering the project goals and business results.

• Lead and own the project scope, budget, schedule to deliver the business results by applying project management tools and principles.

• Develop metrics and target values appropriate for the project.

• Develop project budgets including labor, expense and capital; track budget/expense according to plan.

• Drive projects with entire cross functional team; engineering, marketing, sales operations, ops team from concept to production.

• Plan effort and work with functional managers to ensure the proper skill/resources are available and assigned.

• Manage the NPI team to complete work/tasks based on plan/schedule; make trade-offs if necessary to maintain schedule.

• Work with team to identify risks and mitigation plan; execute mitigation plan; escalate risks as appropriate.

• Report to management on project status.

• Engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering OR related field or equivalent experience.   MS or MBA highly desired.

• Experience in highlighting critical paths and project risk to senior management with mitigation plans to close the risk.

• Experience in creating and tracking detailed project scope, schedule from Proto through Mass Production.

• Experience in leading New Product of complex electro-mechanical systems from concept to high volume transfer.

• Experience in working with EMS companies.

• 10+ years of experience in Engineering product-based companies.

• Experience working with Engineering HW Electrical, Mechanical and SW teams.

• PMP certification preferred.

• Limited travel is expected.
