We are looking for an NPI Production Manager that epitomizes technical and operational excellence. Full understanding of the cycle of product development experience from inception through maturity is important. Working simultaneously on projects in different phases is common; be able to demonstrate and lead the team to deliver a high quality, high performing, and reliable products to customers in addition to the understanding of mechanics of ongoing operational excellence and product support. You are responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

 

•    You will be a key member of the NPI team and will be the main interface with the internal operations team, Product Engineer team, Engineer team as well as our Contract Manufacturers (CM). 
•    Work along with Product Engineering to define the test strategy, implement and optimize test flow/setup/processes at the CM including qualification of test fixtures, test equipment and test software.
•    Work concurrently with the Design Engineers and Product Engineers to provide design for testability (DFT) feedback throughout the design process.
•    Investigate, troubleshoot analyze yield issues and provide concise paretos and yield analysis reports during prototype and production builds to resolve issues and improve yields.
•    Interface with Design Engineering, Product Engineer and our CM team to achieve desired improvement goals.
•    Deploy and provide training for OPS team, Product Service Team and CM team as well. 
•    Responsible for developing test procedures, preventative maintenance (PM) plans and troubleshooting guides to support onsite pilot build and at CM as well.
•    Investigate and introduce new manufacturing test technology and methodology to enhance production efficiency.
•    Drive improvement efforts to achieve target FPY’s goal.
•    Ability to oversee daily activities and lead teams of 15 to 20 people to meet desired goals.

 

Basic Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or related field.
•    5+ years of experience in manufacturing / operations of electronic devices.


•    Proven experience with defining, developing and implementing manufacturing test strategy for new products.
•    Experience with reviewing hardware designs to define test coverage to ensure products are built free of manufacturing defects.
•    Knowledge of both analog and digital circuits and experience with component-level debug of PCB assemblies
•    Must have ability to work on cross-functional teams and independently and to communicate with all levels of management.
•    Must be able to find creative ways to resolve problems using project management skills.
•    Recognition of when a problem must be escalated is also critical.
•    Deep understanding of DFT and DFM methods.
•    Interested and able to travel internationally.
•    Strong Data Analysis and statistical knowledge.

 

Preferred Qualifications

•    Priority will be given to those that have Pilot Line/ NPI Test engineering experience.
•    Experience with production quality metrics such as Lean manufacturing.
•    Experience working with International Contract Manufacturing Partners.
•    Knowledge of basic mechanical engineering is also a plus.
•    System level knowledge of ATE is highly preferred.
