Opportunity Overview 

We are seeking an Engineering Manager for our Nextest division to manage a Software development team. The team is responsible for the design, implementation, testing and delivery of software for Digital Instruments on our flagship products/platform. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Create milestone-based development schedules for new features to ensure delivery of high-quality software within time and budget. 

  • Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to understand software requirements for new system features for which the team is responsible 

  • Drive, unblock, and strategize with stakeholders on software delivery for time-critical projects. 

  • Provide technical and management over enablement of the development of functional specifications and design documents based on requirements. 

  • Monitor progress, take corrective action as needed, and report   status to software and project management. 

  • Provide career coaching and feedback to employees to help them   expand and deepen their skills, have a track record of hiring highly productive   engineers. 

  • Develop ATE-specific technical knowledge and skill required to communicate and resolve issues that affect customers. 

  

All About You 

  • BS in CS, CE or EE.  MS. Preferred 

  • Minimum1-3 years functional management experience with successful performance management and talent retention experience. 

  • 1-3 years of experience in software development on semiconductor test or ATE equipment. 

  • Excellent communication skills with interfacing multi discipline stakeholders. 

  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and ability to resolve conflicts, especially cross teams. 

  • Energetic team player who can motivate a variety of people and disciplines 

  • Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Design and have a passion for highly predictable quality releases. 

  • Prior experience as a software engineer will be beneficial (C/C++, MS Visual Studio) to this role, especially developing software for hardware instrumentation 

  • Experience working with HW engineers and FPGA developers 

  • Proven success as a manager with a good track record of delivery to production for customer facing products 

  • A passion for learning about the ATE industry and ecosystem. 

  • Experience communicating over various busses; GPIB, I2C, SPI,  PCIe, etc. 

 

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $176,000 - $281,600. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
