Opportunity Overview

The Field Applications and Service Engineer Intern is an early-career technical role designed to support the Teradyne Robotics Service Center in Mexico. Working side by side with experienced service and application engineers, the intern helps deliver day-to-day service operations for the Universal Robots collaborative robots and Mobile Industrial Robots autonomous mobile robots portfolio, including unit intake and diagnostics, repairs and testing, case documentation, and warranty support.

Beyond the service bench, this role acts as a flexible support resource for the team: extending its capacity, helping standardize processes, building documentation and tools, and supporting field visits, demonstrations, and application validations when needed. This is a hands-on learning opportunity, with mentorship and real responsibility, for students who want to build a career in robotics and industrial automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play an active role in daily Service Center operations for UR and MiR products, gaining hands-on experience with unit intake, inventory, logistics, equipment readiness, and essential safety and quality practices.
  • Learn alongside experienced engineers as you help diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, test, and validate robotic systems, and participate in field service, installations, inspections, application trials, demonstrations, and hands-on training.
  • Help deliver a great customer experience by providing first-level technical support to customers and partners, maintaining accurate service and warranty records, and supporting administrative and invoicing documentation.
  • Make a meaningful impact on team performance by analyzing service trends, creating reports and technical resources, improving processes and tools, and supporting events, pre-sales activities, and other team priorities.
