Role
The Teradyne Semi Finance Team is looking for a highly motivated senior financial analyst to support Solution Engineering Group (SEG) within the Semiconductor Test Division.
Essential Functions
As a key financial business partner, the senior financial analyst will lead cross functional discussions to drive business performance.
Financial planning & analysis
- Planning and analysis: collaborate with functional leaders for Japan and Korea planning cycle including strategic mid term plan, quarterly rolling forecast.
- Quarterly and annual closing: monitor quarter end results and prepare appropriate journal entries to ensure revenue and expenses are recorded properly.
- Reporting: prepare internal regional reporting package for Japan and Korea as well as variance analysis; consolidate and analyze Asia results for Asia SEG director
Business partnering & commercial support
- Work as financial business partner through detailed data analysis and delivering dashboards for decision making
- Participate in cross functional initiatives for decision making in Japan and Korea’s financial support
- Support functional Japan and Korea managers on their projects management, asset management and SEG resources utilization
Financial leads and support
- Lead SEG revenue recognition control project to ensure compliance with the company’s policy and GAAP requirements
- Lead SEG global TUSE project to set up a consistent and regular control for accounts accuracy, risk mitigation and asset completeness as well as targeting to improve asset utilization & cost efficiency
- Support finance manager for continuous alignment, optimization, training and performance measurement initiatives
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy through automation of reporting, forecasting, and analytical processes
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong qualitative and quantitative skills, with demonstrated experience
- Prior experience working with tight deadlines and demonstrated responsibility for accuracy and timeliness for work performed.
- A team player and work cross-functionally.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel required
- Experience with Oracle, Business Objects, Power BI (Business Intelligence), Adaptive preferred
- Process improvement focus.
Minimum education and work experience required
- A Bachelor’s Degree in either Finance or Accounting is required
- 5+ years of financial planning preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Sharp financial or mathematical logical thinking ability
- English proficiency
