Regional Sales Manager (Korean Title Sangmu)

The Teradyne Korea is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, driven Korea Sales Manager (Korean Title Sangmu) who will lead Memory Sales Team.


Position Summary

The regional sales manager plays a key leadership role in successfully driving products to the market by understanding customer requirements and developing/executing strategies that enhance customer adoption of Teradyne’s in-circuit testing products and solutions. The regional sales manager drives and execute sales strategies, sustain a competitive selling process, and manage customer engagements to develop new business and grow revenue/market share in the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Grow the business through effective account management by following Teradyne sales process and working closely with distribution partners, OEMs and end-user customers to develop sales strategies and implement growth plans.
  • As business unit’s “eyes and ears” to ensure all opportunities are captured and product-related issues are resolved and communicated to customers and other relevant stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Actively manage sales opportunity funnel, focusing on actions to close existing opportunities and growing the funnel with new opportunities.
  • Strategic, tactical sales and field marketing planning to determine primary objectives, set specific targets, and implement plans to grow business within the segment/territory.
  • Drive generation and approval of quotations and commercial proposals to ensure product gross margins meet business requirements
  • Customer RFQ - Negotiate and respond to customer’s RFQ by working with product marketing, engineering, and other functional groups.
  • Provide technical information/support and training to distribution, end-user, and OEM’s, and other purchase influencers. Work closely with distribution partners to develop end user target strategies and implement growth plans.
  • Make timely visits to customers/prospects for equipment demonstrations and sales
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct trade show exhibits, seminars, webinars, and customer training and support (responsibilities may include assistance at trade shows and/or seminars outside of the assigned geographic territory)
  • Qualify sales lead by establishing good customer contact via telephone, email, personal contact, on-site visits, trade shows, etc.
  • Regional marketing activities including tradeshows, seminar, and etc.


Qualifications & Skills

  • 10+ years of capital equipment sales experience in electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, marketing, business or related field preferred.
  • Desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals with a proven track record of sales success.
  • Must be a true business developer with the ability to grow existing relationships while still focused on bringing in new business at the top of the funnel.
  • Strong relationship building skills, direct sales as well as through dealer/distributors required
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce
  • Domestic and overseas travel > 75%.


Nice to Have

  • In-circuit testing system experience is preferred
  • Account management of global OEMs, EMS, automotive companies
  • Ability to multitask in a team-oriented, multicultural environment
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to set priorities
  • Knowledge and/or ability to learn new systems, applications and programs quickly and ability to train others
  • Proficiency with the use of computers and smart devices
