Opportunity Overview
The Senior Manufacturing Engineering position supports Teradyne’s Contract Manufacturer (CM). The position is critical to assuring high product yields and quality. The successful applicant will join a team of three manufacturing engineers supporting facilities in Penang, Cebu and Chachoengsao.
- Responsible for supporting all manufacturing activities at Teradyne's Contract Manufacturer in Chachoengsao.
- Heavily support the Supply Line Management organization in the qualification of new suppliers, new products, etc.
- Work closely with the New Product teams on the seamless transition from New Product status to High Volume Manufacturing.
- Require minimal supervision and must adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Enforce strict process control over all areas of Manufacturing and be an effective communicator,
- Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters and process controls.
- Lead team in selecting, implementing, and maintaining efficient manufacturing equipment and procedures for assigned product(s).
- Knowledge of DFM processes, reporting and tools.
- Review weekly yield reports and drive items for RCCA and closure with CM Quality teams.
- Create/review ECOs, Deviations, MCOs, and RCOs
- Build strong partnerships with CMs to improve overall performance of the CM and Teradyne.

- Must have Bachelor's degree and 10-15 years of experience or Master's degree and 5-10 years of experience.
- Experience must be in a PCBA manufacturing environment.
- Must be familiar with IPC standards and certification.
- Must be familiar with PTH, SMT, and ROHS processes.
- Must be familiar with Aqueous cleaning processes and flux chemistry.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Must have demonstrated strength in solder related processes.
- Must be knowledgeable in Flux chemistry interactions, no cleans, intermetallic bonding, ion chromatography, etc.
- Proven experience with reflow profiling and thermal margins.
- Failure analysis experience required.
- Familiarity with equipment maintenance (pick and place, mini wave, inline cleaner, etc. preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical assembly of HLAs and systems.
