Opportunity Overview
Ensure commercial relationship of our two major China vertically integrated contract manufacturers.
- Ensure we pay the appropriate prices for the assemblies and robots they deliver.
- Ensure all commercial related practices are executed (PPV, Cost Reviews, Buy Up/Down of inventory, contra inventory levels, etc)
- Serve as key escalation point for delivery and capacity expansion
- Make sure that issues are dealt with early such that they do not become major problems that jeopardize the supply chain in any way.
- Provide leadership and coordination in the management of supply base during the new product development process.
- Drive large scale cost reduction initiatives.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies.
- Ensure qualification of new parts and new suppliers
- Bring new suppliers to the table if they can deliver better results.
- Develop relationships with key suppliers at all levels with the goal of delivering best in class performance.
- Establish goals and performance expectations with supply base. Write and award contracts where applicable to document agreements with suppliers.
- Work with supply base to establish ability support all aspects of business for Teradyne and Teradyne customer global locations.

- A BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; experience in collaborative robot technologies and an MBA is a plus. (Business degree with related technical experience acceptable)
- 5-10 years of sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Deep knowledge of Robotics and the Robotic supply chain.
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiations and supplier selection/management
- Experience in purchase of technical commodities and implementation of best practices
- Working Knowledge of ERP systems;
- Travel is required and can vary from 15-30% per year
- Command of Chinese and English both written and spoken is required.
