Sustainability Engineer

We are looking for a Sustainability Engineer who is passionate about creating innovative solutions to environmental challenges and promoting sustainable practices within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sustainability reporting, developing, implementing, and managing sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact and improving resource efficiency. As a Sustainability Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, supply line management, engineering, operations, and management, to ensure accurate reporting of emissions for both voluntary and compliance related standards. You will conduct thorough assessments of current processes, analyze data, and propose actionable strategies to enhance sustainability performance. 

Your role will involve researching and staying updated on the latest sustainability technologies, regulations, and best practices to ensure our organization remains at the forefront of environmental responsibility. You will be responsible for designing and overseeing projects that reduce waste, conserve energy, minimize water usage, and lower greenhouse gas emissions. This includes evaluating renewable energy options, optimizing resource utilization, and implementing recycling and waste reduction programs. You will also be tasked with monitoring and reporting on sustainability metrics, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and communicating progress to internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex sustainability concepts into practical solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be required to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders to drive sustainability initiatives forward. You should be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement and innovation in sustainability practices. Responsibilities

• Assist in the ESG data collection including but not limited to carbon footprint and ESG related surveys
• Supporting the implementation of a global ESG data management platform, including entering qualitative and quantitative data

• Ensure Compliance with Global Carbon Reporting Regulations and Standards
• Staying abreast of Global Reporting trends and approaches
• Prepare for the Submission of Information required for Science-Base Targets to enable the establishment of a Corporate Net Zero Commitment
• Conduct landscape analysis & benchmarking best practices
• Contributing to responses for investor rating and ranking organizations
• Helping to analyze responses to surveys that inform ESG strategy
• Researching and writing ESG-related policies
• Benchmarking the semiconductor industry ESG landscape and trends
• Researching ESG-related regulations

•  Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
•  Conduct assessments and audits to identify opportunities for resource efficiency improvements.
•  Design and manage projects focused on energy conservation, waste reduction, and water management.
•  Monitor and report sustainability metrics and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
•  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices into operations.
•  Research and evaluate new sustainability technologies and best practices.
•  Educate and train employees on sustainability practices and environmental responsibility.
•  Represent the organization in sustainability forums, conferences, and industry groups.

Required Experience/Skills

•  Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Sustainability, or related field.
•  Strong knowledge of sustainability principles, environmental regulations, and best practices.
•  Experience with sustainability assessment tools and methodologies.
•  Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
•  Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
•  Proficiency in sustainability reporting and data analysis software.
•  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
