Opportunity Overview

The Universal Robots R&D team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, technically driven Customs Compliance Engineer to focus on customs classification in close collaboration with Universal Robots design team

Support Universal Robots team in Denmark in classification activities
HS and ECN Classification of direct, indirect, and off-line shipments
Creation and maintenance of classification codes in PLM/ERP systems
Engage with product teams, Operations and Sales for ease of import/export activities.

Create and maintain:

Technical description supporting classification and auditing.
Supplementary description for PO’s to support customs handling
BTI activities
Record keeping of shipments and share classification with external resources (E.g. forwarder companies)
Handling Inward Procedure for service activities.
Support Service Hubs with local customs matters.
Travels when needed to Denmark for building product and team knowledge

Working knowledge or experience with the EU and US export control regulation
Practical experience with setting up/managing customs activities.
Practical and theoretical knowledge of customs regulations.
Knowledge of International Trade / Customs / Trade Compliance / Tariff Classification.
