Senior Manager of Technical Marketing

Universal Robots is the market leader in the collaborative robotic space today and we are just getting started. We are looking for an experienced marketing professional who is obsessed with figuring out the best way to position and promote our products and services. This person will be on a global team, with teammates in Boston and Odense, working to understand our customers, their problems and craft messaging and assets for use across the global and regional marketing and sales organization.

 

A successful incumbent of this role will be an expert on messaging, product launches, go-to-market strategy and crafting stories which will elicit a real response from our target audience. They will be obsessed with constantly improving their craft. They are not just a consultant; they are a doer and a team player. They have experience building their own marketing assets and have a wide variety of skills in both graphic and video editing.

 

Key responsibilities

 

The Senior Manager of Technical Manager will do the following for various product or service offerings:

  • Craft customer communications such as surveys, emails, telemarketing scripts and landing pages with high level of comprehension and attention to critical product-market fit assumptions.
  • Translate the company’s high-level vision and goals into actionable tasks for a given product or service offering
  • Transform product features into tangible benefits and collaborate with marketing to create marketing assets across the buyer journey
  • Drive the launch of new products in collaboration with product management
  • Reposition existing products to increase the profitability based on contact with customers and prospects, as well as market research
  • Work with product management and marketing communications to help define the go-to-market strategy.
  • Own value propositions, product positioning, competitive differentiation, and high-level messaging.
  • Serve as the internal and external evangelist for product offerings, taking part in presentations and events
  • Manage the commercial launch roadmap for a set of UR products and/or service offerings
  • Keep a finger on the pulse of the competition and develop strategies and tactics to reduce the threat

 

 

Qualifications and requirements

  • Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to drive decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to manage global product launches, execute on marketing plans, and coordinate/work with across teams to effectively bring a product to market on time and on budget
  • Exceptional English written and verbal communications skills with a demonstrated aptitude in English grammar.
  • Some graphic and video editing competence, enabling incumbent to create social media posts, landing pages, and brief explainer videos.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and able to connect dots and effectively with only intermittent coaching.
  • A proactive and detailed planner with excellent organizational skills to execute every detail successfully
  • Flexible and able to maintain a proactive posture in the face of rapid organizational change and shifting priorities
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success.
  • Team player with great interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work a hybrid work model

 

Education and Experience

  • BA degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communication, or similar relevant field.
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing or product management at a technology company, some of those years preferably in the automation/robotics space

 

This position requires up to 15% travel, domestic and international, to customers’ facilities, events, and other UR offices.
