Channel Development Manager OEM and CSI Network National Role, Birmingham, UK

We are experiencing interest and a big potential in the UK market and is therefore now looking for a new colleague to join us to continue the steep growth rate in Universal Robots.

 

Your responsibility is to ensure revenue growth in your territory, which you do through engaging with potential customers. Our primary end customers are small and medium sized production companies of all kinds.

 

Work in close collaboration with our OEMs and an established integrator network to make sure that clients are being introduced to the best solutions

This new role is UK based and reports directly to the UK and Ireland Country Manager and covers the whole of the UK. As Channel Development Manager you are responsible for increasing the sales in the channel.

 

Primary tasks in your role will be to: 

 

  • New business development as well as managing and growing the existing integrator network in the territory to increase revenue and grow the business to meet our ambitious growth targets
  • The role is home based but travel will need to be undertaken to meet partners/ clients, carry out demonstrations, attend trade shows and support the Integrators
  • The role will include developing the OEM strategy in the UK in adding to the existing companies that use Universal Robots as part of a complete solution. Previous experience in packaging machinery, welding equipment, and automated solutions would be an advantage.
     

Some travel will be required to meet customers in the field on a regular basis to maintain existing connections and developing future business.

 

Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education

 

Most important is your drive and personality. If you have the will, energy and passion – together we will secure the success. You need to have some sales and business development experience. You are strong both in working autonomously and in a team. You plan your own time and efforts with support and assistance from the team in sales region. You are used to reporting on progress using a CRM and providing accurate forecasting.

 

Further, we would expect you to have:

 

A strong sense of understanding of the value proposition to the end user and the partner integrators

  • Experience with structured sales, plans, budgets, pipeline management etc.
  • A strong sense of commercial awareness as well as the ability to present the concept of flexible automation to clients, prospects, and OEMs.
     

Experience in industrial automation, solution/project sales involving technical products would be an advantage. Full technical training will be provided, and the role is supported by a technical support engineer based in the UK.

Full support will be given by the existing team based in the UK.
