The Channel Program Manager (CPM) is responsible for developing and maintaining commercial tools, programs, and processes that allow UR to drive growth from its portfolio of collaborative robots and services. This individual will be accountable for enabling the commercial team in the US & Canada to achieve sales goals and sales plans through creation of new tools and process as well as improvements to existing process related to Channel Management. The CPM will work collaboratively with the Channel Development Managers (CDM) and Area Sales Managers (ASMs), who have responsibility for the individual channel partner relationships. This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Director.  This is a remote position.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Continuous review of existing commercial business processes related to Channel Management
  • Identify needed areas of improvement to enable accelerated revenue growth through simplification and / or capacity expansion
  • Determine potential productivity improvements as well as any gaps in market coverage
  • Create new commercial tools and programs for use in enhancing channel partner relationships and performance management
  • Assist the CDMs in rapid and effective on-boarding of new channel partners
  • Administration of channel partner incentive / rebate programs on a quarterly and annual basis, including Market Development Fund (MDF) activities
  • Assist Regional Sales Director in executing quarterly Partner Advisory Council events
  • Coordinate with Channel Program Director on corporate channel initiatives as part of the global Channel focus group
  • Drive KPIs and action plans to achieve the annual Sales Budget target
  • Must be capable of overnight travel up to 25% of time; or as required.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a business or technical subject area (engineering, math, science)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial function roles
  • Strong process orientation, preferably including project management experience
  • Experience working with distribution partners in the industrial market
  • Previous experience in industrial automation, solution/project businesses involving highly technical products
  • Business acumen that can be applied at different levels of decision makers from senior management to technical support
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
  • Strong analytical skillset with previous MS Excel, Business Intelligence and CRM experience
