The Channel Development Manager will be reporting to the Area Sales Manager - Midwest. You will be responsible for leads generation, sales activities, as well as assisting with the commercial development of distributors. You will manage the strategy, business and activity plans, sales, marketing, implementation, budget, and commercial results for the market through distributors. The position will interface with end users, integrators, distributors, the sales team, and other stakeholders. This person will live in the greater Chicago IL or Milwaukee, WI area.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Drive KPIs and action plans to achieve the annual target. Develop countermeasures to get back to the budget if missed
- Manage distributors by bi-weekly meetings of funnel management, forecasting and action plans
- Canvass, initiate, qualify sales leads and follow through to ensure a solid sales funnel with distributors
- Train, develop, motivate and support existing distributors
- Facilitate joint visits with distributor’s sales reps to end users
- Devise sales & marketing strategy with the marketing manager to strategically position UR in the market and create brand awareness
- Travel about 60%
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or related subject
- Have a minimum of 5 years successful track record indirect sales to distributors
- Experience in industrial automation, solution/project sales involving technical products would be an advantage
- Strong sense of understanding of the value proposition by the end-users
- Business acumen that you can apply on different decision levels from the senior management level to technical support
- People management in sales
- Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and have a good understanding of cross-cultural differences
