Position Summary:

The Business Development Manager, Education (BDM) is responsible for the growth of Universal Robots’ sales into the education market. Working remotely the Business Development Manager will be accountable for executing assigned sales goals and sales plans throughout the US and Canada. The BDM will work proactively with the Universal Robots sales team and distribution partners in the identification, qualification, pursuit, and closure of opportunities in the education setting. This position reports to the Midwest Area Sales Manager.  This is a remote position and ideally we are targeting candidates in Ohio, Indiana, or Michigan.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support UR’s Education program in the United States and Canada
  • Manage/support EDU focused vertical channel partners
  • Manage EDU opportunities and maintain a 90-day forecast in CRM
  • Participate in the continuous design and development of training solutions in alignment with the global UR Academy strategy
  • Assist in driving industry recognition at the state level
  • Support Institutional pursuit of grants and funding related to the use of the UR products/curriculum
  • Support 3rd party collaboration(s) to increase awareness of UR education offerings
  • Build strong education offering/curriculum with Education master trainer
  • Expand and enable education portfolio to more vertical partners – grow number of participating institutions
  • Review existing program performance and implement any necessary improvements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related subject
  • A minimum of five (5) years of B2B sales experience including in-depth understanding of system integrators, channel/partner programs and funnel management
  • Documented experience in solution selling both direct and through distribution or system integrators
  • A willingness to embrace and drive change
  • Demonstrated success in driving aggressive revenue growth with new products
  • Strong sense of understanding of the value proposition to end-users
  • Business acumen that can be applied at different levels of decision makers from senior management to technical support
  • Effective communicator and influencer with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize projects and tasks
  • Self-starter who is resourceful and initiates work without specific instruction
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office 365
