It’s the array of tools which bring premier value to the end-users, and you will support our current and prospective partners in developing even more future UR+ products.

In this role, you will establish positive long-term working relationships with new UR+ partners, enabling you to assist and consult them with technical scoping, product requirements and software development required for them to succeed in the UR+ ecosystem.
As UR+ Implementation Engineer, you support the UR+ Product Manager and act as the owner of technical stage gates for new products, as well as the global UR+ team by sharing best practices, strategies and results from local markets. Moreover, you provide the global UR+ team and Product Management with technical feedback from UR+ partner developers e.g. Polyscope and API feature requests, bugs and compatibility issues. You also provide technical input on priorities and schedule.

 

Overall, we see success in this role as:

  • Contributing to improvements in technical, testing documentation and process improvements, reducing development support requirements. You exercise continuous improvement to streamline the process, and improve the quality of validation
  • Following up on with partner developers regularly to ensure projects adhere to timeline and scope, enabling you to maintain accurate and timely project pipeline and status in our CRM and documenting key milestones consistently
  • Ensuring the integrity of the stage gate process is maintained throughout the technical phase
  • Facilitating the development and launch of products covering key target applications
     

Overall, you take responsibility for and deliver optimal and satisfactory solutions for internal and external customers based on your professionalism and specialist UR+ knowledge.

 

Help our partners generate new UR+ products

 

You work as a part of our product management department out of our Boston office, referring to our Global Head of UR+ Ecosystem. You support our key partners during the external development phase, as well as with training associated with SDK and API and curriculum development.

 

Your other key deliverables include:

  • Optimizing the technical onboarding and scoping process to ensure clear expectations from both parties surrounding the product, producing appropriate reports for each product.
  • Testing and technically certifying partner products consistent with global guidelines prior to full commercial certification
  • Providing regular reports and metrics to the UR+ Product Manager on pipeline, status, schedules, opportunities and challenges
  • Align with and support development in key application segments involving the API
  • Supporting the execution of various marketing activities trade shows etc. involving UR+ products
  • Regularly participating and moderating the UR+ developer forum
     

Additionally, you participate in Beta Testing of new UR software releases and supports the continuous UR+ QA strategy. You can expect approximately 100 travel days per year, requiring you to demonstrate adaptability of schedule and travel.

You can manage diverse commercial and correlating relationships with multiple tiered stakeholders, including the ability to connect with engineering, operational and executive levels.
You take a natural enjoyment in customer interaction, and you pride yourself with your integrity, approachability, service level and high standard of support to customers and partners.

We also imagine you come with:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical/Mechatronics or related subject
  • Experience in factory automation, product development or manufacturing engineering
  • Understanding of the value proposition by the end-users and the distribution business in general, besides working with systems integrators, end-users and developers
  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as C++/JAVA/JAVASCRIPT/PYTHON
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle and pipeline, continuous integration techniques, deployment and software developments
  • Above average knowledge of Unix and Unix based operating systems
     

You are a resourceful and outgoing self-starter, who can take initiative and show excellent project management skills with a detail-orientated eye. Your proven ability to multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines in a fast paced, global and collaborative environment enables you to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in an effective and organized way. You employ a logical, analytical approach to problem-solving.
